Mr. Barboza promotes the cause on the editorial pages of The Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, New York Times and elsewhere.  The piece connects the Marian Anderson incident in 1939 and his aunt’s struggles between 1980 and 1984 to the need for the memorial and the symbolism of the site on the Mall.
