Once Mrs. Ferguson’s dispute was settled with the DAR, she and Mr. Barboza asked the group to support The Patriots Memorial.  Together with the Prince Hall Masons, the DAR and other organizations marched to the site from Constitution Hall on July 4, 1985, to urge Congress’ support.   President General Sarah M. King, along with Mr. Barboza and Mrs. Ferguson, lead the march that includes D.C. City Council Chairman Dave Clarke (background second row right.)
