SECOND ANNUAL CONFERENCE
The theme of the Redbone
Heritage Foundation second annual conference is EXPLORING THE REDBONE
CULTURE. The meeting will be held in Natchitoches, La. We are assembling
an interesting assortment of speakers and programs.

Natchitoches is the oldest continuously inhabited
settlement in the Louisiana Purchase. It was for many Redbones the
gateway to Texas and southwest Louisiana. If you have never taken the
opportunity to visit some of its historic sites now may be a good chance
to do so. The Chamber of Commerce will provide you with ample materials
on places to see, local events, tours, etc. The C of C can be reached

The Louisiana Room (Cammie Henry) room on the third
floor of the university library is a good place to include in your
research efforts.
A block of 15 rooms is
being reserved for us. Please register for a room ASAP. Room rate:
$65.00/day plus tax. See our webpage for a listing of other motels with
lower rates. AARP discounts are available. Handicapped rooms are
available. MAKE RESERVATIONS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE--There are a lot of
events going in Natchitoches and now that New Orleans and Lake Charles
are crippled there are likely to be many more there--don't delay.
Display tables with tablecloth and chairs are
available for $10.00 per day. Please reserve a table ASAP by contacting
